The new truck will make a significant improvement both financially and operationally and will support the furniture bank program for the foreseeable future.$142,404.89 in HEAP funding was contributed to the CoC's Landlord Risk Mitigation Fund, which covers habitability improvements, holding costs, leasing incentives, nonpayment of rent, and costs due to excessive damage done to a unit beyond what the security deposit will pay. The added protection is intended to encourage landlords to rent to households that are considered high risk.Cleaning and sanitizing supplies, transportation, computer stations, food, and janitorial services were provided for households fleeing domestic violence and utilizing Marjaree Mason Center emergency shelter. Supplies, services, and food were provided in order to maintain a sanitary environment within the shelter during the COVID-19 pandemic.Approximately 3,000 backpacks containing flashlights, first aid kits, and hygene supplies were distributed to CoC Street Outreach programs to be provided when engaging those experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Additional hygiene and safety supplies were aslo given to service providers to be distributed during outreach. Informational cards for outreach to the homeless and informational cards and materials for those seeking to assist the homeless were printed and distributed to providers and community members.
