HomeMy WebLinkAboutFinal 2020 Executive SummaryThis report highlights the collaborative efforts of the Fresno-Madera Continuum of Care, our member agencies, and numerous partners in the community in 2020 to address homelessness in Fresno and Madera Counties and to respond to COVID-19 Summary System Performance 2020 Executive Summary member agencies are collaborating as a part of the Fresno-Madera Continuum of Care $34M (approximately) in funding allocated from state and federal sources towards ending homelessness during 2020 2020 Point-In-Time and Housing Inventory Count 3,641 people experiencing homelessness. 1,864 people in permanent housing According to 2019 SPM data: 13% of participants who exited to Permanent Housing returned to homelessness within two years. The average length of time homeless was 62 days System Capacity 35 COVID-19 100 Day Challenge: Landlord Support and Incentive Funds Implemented 68 households (118 people) rehoused through the 100 Day Challenge  571 clients matched to housing with 385 matches accepted in 2020 Crossroads housing opened and started accepting CES referrals Unsheltered Sheltered (ES/TH/SH) Beds 0 2,000 4,000 Source: 2020 PIT and HIC from HDX 1,338 767 1,046 Permanent Supportive Housing Rapid Rehousing Shelter & Temporary Housing (approximately) of the $34M funding is earmarked to the COVID-19 crisis response from federal and state sources for people experiencing homelessness $14M Average length of time homeless measures the average number of days a participant is enrolled in an Emergency Shelter, Safe Haven or Transitional Housing program.
