Only CoC funded PSH, RRH, and TH housing projects are included in this measure. This measure only
looks at increases in income.

Step 1: Introductions - Who is represented in this workgroup? (5 minutes)

Step 2: Describe – General observation from the graph Metric 4.4 to 4.6, why is it important to look at
these measures?
• Based on services
• Income to maintain housing when leaving services
• Employment income # low- many are not able to obtain jobs
• Non-employment – SSI, GR
Step 3: Analyze – (15 minutes)
1. Is the data accurately reflecting what is happening across the system (i.e. are CoC projects
aware that they should be updating income data? Are projects looking at their APR’s to
ensure that increases are being reflected in the reports? Is additional data entry training
needed to accurately record increases or does staff know how and when they should be
entering income increases?)
• Add things such as non-traditional forms
• More training on when to update
• List of what can be considered non-cash
2. For each project type, what services are you providing in your project to help assist clients in
increasing income?

Step 4: Improvement Goals (5 minutes)
1. How often should CoC funded projects be reviewing the income changes and should this data be
shared with the CoC, if so how often?
• Anytime there is a change
• Share 6 months
2. What additional training for staff is needed if any to work with clients on increasing income?
This does not only include HMIS specific trainings, i.e. needed training on learning how to help
clients apply for SSI benefits.
